Description
I cheated a little with this painting, since one of the tile designs is from the 15th century Mamluk sultanate (top right), one from 16th century Istanbul (top left), two (middle top and middle bottom) from the Muradiye Mosque in Turkey, 15thcentury Ottoman Empire, 16th century Iznik (bottom right), and one whose origin is unknown to me but is found set into one of the walls of the Leighton House in Kensington, London (bottom left).
